The Quist's: Happy 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July! Believe it or not, but it is probably my favorite holiday! It's just a relaxing day on Big Whitefish Lake (the only place to be on the 4th!)....

Now that Aaron and I are "runners," we participated in the 2 mile run at the cottage. We both did really well! In fact, I came in 3rd in my age division!!

The afternoon gradually turned into a hot one, so we spent time on the Sea-Doo, floating in the water, and I went tubing with my cousin's daughter, Grace! Like every 4th the lake is incredibly rough making it a bumpy ride!

Early Saturday morning, Aaron and I took the paddle boat out on a "romantic" fishing excursion. We didn't get very far though, we realized after paddling in circles for 5 minutes that the boat was missing its rudder. Later on that morning Randy and Hilary came up! The guys spent a lot of time fishing off the docks; and Aaron finally got a chance to use his new fishing pole he received last Christmas. He was the only one to catch anything all day...
