The Quist's: Year in Review

As this year winds to a close, I thought I'd briefly recap some of 2008. Our year to some might not seem very eventful or exciting, but Aaron and I really enjoy our life. We are happily married, have great friends and wonderful families, are healthy, and have been blessed in countless ways. This year the vast amount of our energies has been placed into working on our house. We installed tile, put in several landscaping features, and built that great deck. We were lucky enough to travel to Mexico for a spring get-away, and enjoyed the warmth of the sun at the cottage, camping, and on Sunny Glen Drive. We focused on our training, logging of miles, and competing in several races; the biggest of course was the GR Half Marathon. Our one year anniversary arrived in July-what a fast first year of marriage that was! Aaron was hired an an on-call fire fighter and completed the process of becoming a journeyman at Buist. We celebrated pregnancies, births, engagements, weddings, new jobs, and new homes with many friends and family. There were tears and laughter; moments of deep sorrow and anger; compassion, honestly, love and forgiveness too. We are thankful not only to have so many wonderful people in our lives daily, but to have been granted safety, health, and God's many blessings.
